What we need

There are lots of other ways you can help, months and weeks before, as well as on the actual HEROES RUN day itself. Here are some of the ways:

 Working with other charities

6-8 months before HEROES RUN race day, we ring lots of other charities and businesses to offer them discounted HEROES RUN entry places. We do this because we want to continue to Pass It On, by helping them use our event to fundraise for their own cause. There’s never going to be an impersonal script for you to follow, we’d always want you to be yourself. If you believe in what we are trying to do, which is to support as many other charities in the world as possible, and you fancy giving this a go, then we’d love to hear from you.

 Getting schools involved

Are you a teacher or on the PTA? We want our HEROES RUN events to become really positive opportunities for all children to get involved in sport by running the Mini Heroes 500 metre dash. We need your help to tell them all about it and get them inspired. We’re always looking for new participating schools to help us fundraise at our HEROES RUN event and we would be happy to come and do an Assembly so the kids know what it’s all about.

 Social networking

Do you tweet? If so, could you follow HEROES RUN and would you be prepared to tweet any of our latest news on our behalf? Are you on Facebook? If so, would you be prepared to like us and tell your friends about our next HEROES RUN event?

 Promoting the event

Do you have any contacts in local or national media? Any bit of exposure we can get helps spread the word.

 Corporate teams

Would your workplace be interested in entering a team in the HEROES RUN? We would be happy to come to your work place and do a presentation about the work Pass It On Africa do.

If you can help out with any of the above contact James at info@pioafrica.org.uk
